Company Milestones 1990 – GORICA Trading GORICA was founded in 1990, and started off as a trading company based in Al-Aweer Industrial Area, Dubai; initially under the name of GORICA Trading. 1993 – GOTRADE LLC established in Dubai In 1993, GORICA Trading transferred its activities to a newly established company by the name of GOTRADE LLC. GOTRADE LLC today, continues to be a specialist trading, spare parts and workshop service company specializing in commercial bodies and trailers. It is also the sole UAE distributer for Palfinger AG products. While the main office is based in Al-Aweer, Dubai; GOTRADE LLC also has a branch office in Abu Dhabi to help support the increasing demand for GORICA products, dealerships, spare parts and components and to provide for after-sales service and support. 1998 – GORICA Industries LLC, Dubai As the vision of Dubai’s development took off and started to materialize, in 1998 GORICA took the leap and invested in setting up a full scale manufacturing facility, under the name of GORICA Industries LLC, based in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2. The company initially started out in the manufacturing of standard trailers, and over the years has evolved into a manufacturing company capable of manufacturing a wide range of standard as well as non-standard commercial bodies and trailers. Today, our range of products include: Trailers, Semitrailers, General Cargo Semitrailers, Curtain Side Semitrailers, Light Cargo Bodies, Tipping Semitrailers, Tipping Bodies, Low Bed Semitrailers, Low Bed Trailers, Tank Semitrailers, Truck Mounted Tankers, Tankers for Dry Bulk, Transit Mixers, Municipal Utility Equipment, Vacuum Jetting Combination Units, Refuse Compactors, Oil-Field, Pressure Vessels, and Frigo Truck Mounted Bodies and Semitrailers. GORICA’s factories are equipped with the latest technology and advanced machinery. Each of the three factories composes of all the necessary work stations that include: cutting, shearing, assembly, welding etc… Additionally, there are painting facilities and blasting areas. Overall, 750 workers and staff work at the headquarters. At the end of 2013, GORICA Industries LLC decided to set up its fourth factory in Dubai Industrial City (DIC). The factory is scheduled to be fully operational by July 2015 and its first phase of the factory will be specifically dedicated to the manufacturing of Frigo Bodies and Semitrailers; while the second and future phase will specialize in the manufacturing of Aluminum Tankers. 2005 – GORICA Industries Sales Office established in Kuwait In 2005, GORICA opened up a sales office in Kuwait City to expand its reach across the GCC. The office today functions as a sales and marketing extension of GORICA Industries LLC. In addition, it also keeps smaller scale stock levels of spare parts and components. 2009 – GORICA Vehicles & Co LLC established in Oman Robust growth and advancement across the GCC has led to many positive spillover effects for local businesses; and as such GORICA also advanced on these positive movements and further expanded its operations by establishing its second manufacturing company, GORICA Vehicles & Co LLC based in Ghala, Oman. GORICA Vehicles &Co is a sales, service, after-sales, and spare parts company, as well as a manufacturing company specializing mainly in standard products such as tipping bodies. Furthermore, it is also strategically located to support GORICA’s after sales services and the sales of spare parts. 2011 – GORICA Vehicles Qatar WLL, opened in Qatar In 2011, GORICA decided to take an even further step with its expansion plans, and set up a company in Doha, Qatar under the name of GORICA Vehicles Qatar W.L.L. Initially, the aim of the company was to promote the brand by setting up a sales office that was within close reach of its Qatar based clients. The company today has evolved into including a sales office, a workshop, some limited manufacturing space for certain standard products, as well as spare parts and component offerings for all products. 2015 – GORICA Industries LLC, Reefer Division, DIC, Dubai (planned production start date: July 2015) At the end of 2013, GORICA Industries LLC acquired a KRONE GRP Reefer factory that was based in Denmark. With the acquisition in hand, GORICA proceeded to invest and set up its fourth factory in Dubai Industrial City (DIC). Phase one of the construction of the factory is currently underway and due to be fully functional by July 2015.
